Implementasi Metode Random Forest Dalam Memprediksi Lama Studi Mahasiswa (Studi Kasus: Fakultas Matematika Dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Riau)
ABSTRACT
Predicting a student's duration of study is crucial for universities to determine whether students will graduate on time. This research aims to develop an effective prediction model for determining the length of study based on related factors. The Random Forest method was chosen to overcome the complexity and diversity of student data. A study was conducted on 1535 graduates from the five departments at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Riau University. The study used cross-validation techniques to measure model performance. The accuracy of the model was evaluated using a confusion matrix, and it was found that the Random Forest model had an average accuracy of 95.12%.
