Optimalisasi Penggunaan Rasio Flow Fecl3 Dan Flow Brine Dan Pengaruh Dumping Time Terhadap Mg Content Di Floating Tank
The process in Brine Treatment is used to remove impurities that are still contained in the brine solution, one of which is Magnesium (Mg) impurity ions. The brine that is free from impurities will then be used in the electrolysis process to produce caustic which is used in the pulp bleaching process. In the brine treatment process, the Mg impurity removal process is carried out in the floating tank by adding FeCl3 as a coagulant. This research aims to determine the optimal use of ratios, flow FeCl3 and flow brine and the effect of dumping time on mg content in floating tanks. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, the optimal ratio is obtained, namely a ratio of 2.5 with a dumping time of 2 hours with outlet Mg produced at 0 ppm and Excess Fe at 0.6 ppm. The results obtained are for an optimal ratio in use, but there are several aspects that need to be considered in its application.
