Analisa Perbandingan Start Up Dan Efisiensi Turbine Unit 2 Dan 4
The turbine start up process consists of three conditions, namely hot start, warm start, and cold start. Each start up condition has a different time. When the turbine is running normally again, calculations and monitoring of turbine efficiency will be carried out to control turbine performance. The idea described in this final project “Comparative Analysis of Start up and Efficiency of turbine units 2 and 4” aims to determine the differences in the start up components of turbines 2 and 4, the start up time of turbines 2 and 4 in various conditions, and the performance of turbines 2 and 4. The research method used, namely by evaluating secondary data. Secondary data is obtained from the company's manual book and daily reports derived from automated processes on the Distributed Control System (DCS). The differences in components and procedures for starting up turbine units 2 and 4, namely the oil pump, turning device, turbine stop valve, and speed increase at turbine start up. The start up time for turbine 2 under cold start conditions is 90 minutes while turbine 4 is 140 minutes. In warm start conditions turbine 2 has a start up time of 67 minutes while turbine 4 is 45 minutes. In hot start conditions turbine 2 has a start up time of 43 minutes while turbine 4 is 30 minutes. Based on the calculation of start up time in the event of a blackout in cold start conditions the company can choose turbine 2, in warm and hot start conditions it can choose turbine 4 which is run first. The average efficiency of turbine 2 for one month is 99.77%. While the average efficiency of turbine 4 for one month was 99.91%. Based on the calculations both turbines are in very good condition.
