Parents' Hopes for Enrolling Their Children in the Mataqu Al Falah
Foundation Tahfidz School, Sorek Satu Village, Pelalawan Regency.

The formulation of the problem in this research is to find out how high parents' hopes are for enrolling their children in the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school, Sorek One sub-district, Pelalawan district. The aim of this research is to determine the expectations of parents to enroll their children in the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school based on indicators and demographics including: age, occupation, parental education and the educational level of children attending the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school.
This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were parents of santri/ti who enrolled their children in the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school in Sorek Village, Pelalawan Regency. In taking samples using the Simple Random Sampling technique using the Yamane formula, the sample in this study consisted of 100 parents. The trials in this study were 30 parents with 35 statements. So after testing the 35 statements, there were 5 statements that were invalid, so the remaining 30 statements could be continued.
Based on research findings, it can be seen that parents' hopes of enrolling their children in the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school are seen based on demographics, including: Based on age, it can be seen that those who have quite high hopes are in the 31-35 year old category with a mean value of 4.12. Furthermore, based on occupation, it can be seen that those who have quite high expectations are those who work as farmers with a mean value of 3.99. Then, based on parental education, it can be seen that those who have quite high expectations are parents with bachelor's and middle school education with a mean value of both 3.96 and finally, the level of children's education can be seen who have quite high expectations, namely the education level of junior high school children with a mean value. 3.98.
Based on the indicators, it can be seen that parents have a fairly high level of hope with a mean value of 4.13, while Locus of Control is the lowest with a mean value of 3.69. Based on the contribution of the Locus of Control indicator, optimism, goals, perceptions and desires can be seen to have an overall contribution of 72.0% so that the rest is influenced by other indicators. Overall, it can be seen that parents who enroll their children in the Mataqu Al Falah Foundation Tahfidz school have a fairly high level of hope because it can be seen from the mean level and contribution of each indicator.
