The minimax method is an optimization technique employed to find an initial basic solution for the time minimizing transportation problem with mixed con- straints. This problem involves determining the optimal transportation plan that minimizes the maximum transportation time, considering constraints that may include both supply and demand at various nodes. The minimax method aims to identify a transportation schedule where the longest transportation time across all routes is minimized, thereby ensuring a more efficient and balanced distribution process. The method addresses the complexity introduced by mi- xed constraints, integrating both equality and inequality conditions to refine the solution space and achieve a feasible, almost optimal initial solution.
