Implementasi Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IX 2 SMP Negeri 3 Kampar Kiri Tengah
The success of the learning process is reflected in student learning outcomes, which indicate their abilities after the learning activities. Learning outcomes are divided into instructional effects and accompanying effects. The objectives of mathematics education in the 2013 Curriculum include understanding, reasoning, problem-solving, and communication. Teachers need to implement the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance student participation and learning outcomes. PBL helps students gather information, build new knowledge, and develop the skills necessary for active and independent learning. The aim of this study is to describe the impact of PBL on student learning outcomes. The research method employs a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL model can improve the learning process and enhance the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade IX2 students at SMPN 3 Kampar Kiri Tengah during the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year on KD 3.5 (Explaining geometric transformations: reflection, translation, rotation, and dilation) and KD 4.5 (Solving problems related to geometric transformations: reflection, translation, rotation, and dilation).
