PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN AKADEMIS DAN EFIKASI DIRI TERHADAP MOTIVASI MAHASISWA FAKULTAS EKONOMI DAN BISNIS UNIVERSITAS RIAU DALAM PENYELESAIAN SKRIPSI

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of academic
ability and self-efficacy on the motivation of students of the Faculty of Economics
and Business, Riau University in completing the thesis. The type of research is
quantitative. the population used is all students of the Faculty of Economics and
Business, Riau University class of 2017-2019 with a total of 808 people who come
from student data of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Riau University.
Based on the sample calculation with the Slovin technique, the number of
respondents needed in this study was 100 respondents. Data collection techniques
in this study were observation, documentation and questionnaires with a Likert
Scale data measurement scale. Data analysis techniques use validity, reliability
and classical assumption tests. The data analysis method uses multiple linear
regression with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that academic
ability has a positive and significant effect on student motivation. Self-efficacy has
a positive and significant effect on student motivation. Academic ability and selfefficacy together affect the motivation of students of the Faculty of Economics and
Business, Riau University in completing the thesis.
