PENGARUH CAPITAL ADEQUACY RATIO (CAR), INDEKS HARGA PROPERTI RESIDENSIAL (IHPR) DAN PENDAPATAN PERKAPITA TERHADAP NON PERFORMING LOAN (NPL) PADA PT. BANK TABUNGAN NEGARA (PERSERO) TBK DI INDONESIA PERIODE 2014-2023
This research aims to determine the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR),
Residential Property Price Index (IHPR) and per capita income on NonPerforming Loans (NPL) at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk in
Indonesia for the 2014-2023 period. The data used in this research is secondary
data in the form of a time series. Secondary data was obtained from official
publications, namely the Central Statistics Agency, BTN Annual Report, Bank
Indonesia and OJK publications. The analysis tool in this research is Ordinary
Least Square (OLS) using the SPSS version 24.0 program. The results of the
analysis show that CAR has a negative and significant effect on NPL, IHPR has a
positive and significant effect on NPL while Per Capita Income has no effect on
NPL at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. The coefficient of
determination in this research is 0.642, which states that 64.2% of the NonPerforming Loan (NPL) variable can be explained by the Capital Adequacy Ratio
(CAR), Residential Property Price Index (IHPR) and per capita income variables
while the remaining 35.8% explained by other variables not included in the
research. This research recommends that financial institutions, namely PT. Bank
Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk applies the principle of prudence in providing
mortgage credit, where the property sector is one of the sectors that greatly
influences economic growth. And can use the capital adequacy ratio to support
assets or assets related to credit settlement that contain risks.
