VARIASI WAKTU REAKSI PADA PENGOLAHAN LINDI TPA MUARA FAJAR PEKANBARU MENGGUNAKAN SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR (SBR) AEROB
Leachate causes environmental pollution due to the content of toxic compounds
and pathogenic microorganisms through garbage piles, so it is necessary to
process so that the leachate that is disposed of is safe and does not harm the
environment, one of which is by using SBR technology. This study aims to isolate
COD, TSS, VSS, pH and ammonia in leachate. The processing process in this
study uses an aerobic SBR reactor that utilizes the presence of microorganisms,
namely with an activated sludge system to remove organic compounds from
leachate which is carried out for three cycles. Each cycle has process stages,
namely one hour of filling, varied reactions, two hours of settling, one hour of
draining and two hours of stabilization carried out in one reactor. SBR treatment
is carried out with a variation in reaction time for 14, 18 and 22 hours, a
variation in reaction time is carried out because at that time it is the most
influential stage to reduce the organic load contained in the waste to be treated.
The results of the study obtained the best allowance at the 22-hour reaction time
of the third cycle, namely COD of 80%, ammonia 84%, VSS concentration with an
average of 5,276 mg/L, TSS concentration of 130 mg/L at the 14-hour reaction
time of the second cycle and pH in the range of 7.0 – 7.6.
