Analisis Perbandingan Pet Dan Pasir Terhadap Pembuatan Paving Block
Based on the amount of waste generated in Pekanbaru City per day reaching 1,011.01 tons, for the composition based on its type, plastic waste is around 10%. Plastic waste is a waste problem that is difficult to overcome. Plastic waste partly comes from plastic bottles. One way to utilize plastic bottle waste is as a material for making paving blocks. This study aims to analyze the use of PET on the compressive strength of paving blocks with a mixture of Polyethylene Teraphthalate variations of 90%, 80% 70%, 60%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% and 10% which refers to SNI 03-0691 1996. The research method used in this study is an experimental study. The paving blocks to be made are a mixture of plastic and sand. The variations carried out are 90% PET 10% sand, 80% PET 20% sand, 70% PET 30% sand, 60% plastic 40% sand, 50% PET 50% sand, 40% PET 60% sand, 30% PET 70% sand, 20% plastic 80% sand and 10% PET 90% sand. The process of making paving blocks is shredded plastic bottles mixed with sand. The material is melted using an oven at a temperature of 2500 Case for 120 minutes. The results of the compressive strength values obtained are the best paving blocks produced at code ujr F. with a composition variation of 40% PET and 60% sand of 11 MPa, and the best paving blocks are also produced at test code G with a composition variation of 30% PET and 70% sand of 10.5 MPa which is included in quality D, namely City Park
