Peran Pemuka Masyarakat dalam Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter pada Remaja Karang Taruna Desa Sibuak Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar
The research problem in this study is: How do community leaders play a role in the implementation of character education for youth in Karang Taruna of Sibuak Village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency? The purpose of this research is to identify and describe the role of community leaders in implementing character education for youth in Karang Taruna of Sibuak Village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency.
This research is expected to provide benefits, both theoretical and practical. The theoretical benefits include expanding knowledge and insights for readers and researchers regarding the role of the community, serving as a reference for similar studies, and providing information and input for the development of knowledge, particularly related to character education. For the community, this study can serve as input, especially for communities with a high number of youth, emphasizing the importance of the community's role in improving character education.
The practical benefits for researchers are to broaden their knowledge in understanding the role of the community in fostering the growth of character education. For the community, this research serves as input, particularly for those in environments with many youths, highlighting the necessity of the community’s role in enhancing character education.
This study employs a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. It was conducted in Sibuak Village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, involving three informants as research subjects. The data collection methods used in this research include observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques encompass data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
Based on data analysis and discussion, the study concludes that the role of community leaders in implementing character education for youth in Karang Taruna of Sibuak Village, Tapung Subdistrict, Kampar Regency, has been carried out effectively. This conclusion is supported by interview results with informants, indicating that community leaders have played a significant role in implementing character education for Karang Taruna youth.
