Perilaku Pemilih Perempuan Perkotaan Pada Pemilihan Umum Serentak Tahun 2024 Di Kota Pekanbaru
This study aims to analyze the background of urban women voters' decisions in choosing candidates for members of the central representative council and identify the forms of urban women voters' behavior in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections. This research uses Max Weber's social action theory approach and the type of data analysis is included in descriptive quantitative research. The research population includes all female voters in Sidomulyo Barat Urban Village who are registered in the Permanent Voter List (DPT) and have exercised their voting rights in the 2024 Simultaneous Elections in Pekanbaru City, with a total of 11,384 people. The sample was taken as many as 99 respondents, calculated using the Slovin formula. The results showed that the background of urban women voters' decisions is dominated by rational considerations, especially instrumental rationality and value rationality. In addition, the behavior of urban women voters tends to be based on logical considerations, reflecting the characteristics of rational behavior.
