Komunikasi Pemasaran Dinas Pariwisata Pemuda Dan Olahraga Kabupaten Pelalawan Dalam Mempromosikan Wisata Bono Melalaui Event Bekudo Bono
Tourism is developing as a sector that fulfills human needs for recreation. Pelalawan Regency, especially Teluk Meranti District, has a unique tourist attraction in the form of the Bono Wave, which only exists in two places in the world. This natural phenomenon, which was initially considered scary, is now the main attraction for tourists. The Tourism, Youth and Sports Office of Pelalawan Regency develops and promotes this tourism through festivals and fairs, which has an impact on the increasing number of visitors every year, both domestic and foreign. The purpose of this research is to analyze the elements of marketing communication carried out by the Tourism, Youth and Sports Office in promoting Bono tourism through the Bekudo Bono event. In addition, this research also aims to analyze the implementation of event marketing carried out by the agency in promoting Bono tourism.
This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the Miles and Huberman model, namely data presentation, data reduction, data verification, and conclusion drawing. Data validity checking techniques use data triangulation and extended observation. This research uses the AIDDA model with data sources used based on interviews with 8 resource persons and field observations.
The results of this study indicate that the Pelalawan Regency Tourism, Youth and Sports Office has successfully implemented an AIDDA model-based marketing communication strategy through the Bekudo Bono event by utilizing the uniqueness of the Bono waves, various media channels, and interpersonal approaches to attract tourists' attention, interest, interest and action, which has an impact on increasing visits to Teluk Meranti. In addition, the Bekudo Bono event is also an effective implementation of event marketing with a holistic approach, combining entertainment, local culture, and water sports through cross-sector collaboration and digital promotion to increase the visibility of Bono tourism and support local tourism.
