Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Mi Tenaga Muda Menggunakan Metode Material Requirement Planning (Mrp)
ABSTRACT
This research investigates the effectiveness of inventory control for raw
materials at Mi Tenaga Muda by implementing the Material Requirement Planning
(MRP) method. MRP serves as a systematic approach to planning and scheduling
material requirements, particularly focusing on wheat flour as the primary raw
material in noodle production. The study employed a case study methodology
involving direct observation, structured interviews, and quantitative data collection.
The data were analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel 2021. Two lot-sizing
techniques were applied: Lot for Lot (LFL) and Fixed Period Requirement (FPR).
The findings indicate that the LFL method resulted in a significantly lower total
annual inventory cost of IDR 663,183, compared to IDR 2,191,437 using the FPR
method, and IDR 4.352.800 under the company’s existing inventory practices.
These results suggest that the application of MRP, particularly the LFL technique,
enhances inventory efficiency by minimizing both ordering and holding costs. The
study concludes that MRP can be a viable tool for optimizing raw material
inventory management in small-to-medium scale food production enterprises.
