Desain Dinding Penahan Tanah (Retaining Wall) Untuk Mencegah Kelongsoran Di Lereng Perumahan Derofizha Permata Indrapuri Pekanbaru
ABSTRACT
Slope stability is essential in ensuring the safety of residential areas, especially in
regions with unstable soil conditions. This study aims to design gravity and
cantilever type retaining walls as an effort to prevent soil instability at the Derofizha
Permata Indrapuri Housing site in Pekanbaru. The methods used include field
surveys, collection of soil parameter data, manual calculations, and simulations
using GeoSlope/W software. The slope at the study site has varying heights and
inclinations, with a maximum height of 4.8 meters and a slope of 84º. Based on
previous research, the slope at that height is considered unsafe. Therefore, two types
of retaining walls were designed: gravity and cantilever. The retaining wall design
was analyzed for overturning, sliding, and bearing capacity stability, referring to
SNI 8460:2017. The analysis for the gravity type wall shows safety factors of 8.71
for overturning, 7.98 for sliding, and 539.5 for bearing capacity. Meanwhile, the
cantilever type has safety factors of 12.35 for overturning, 12.12 for sliding, and
167.51 for bearing capacity. The results indicate that the proposed design is safe in
resisting lateral earth pressure and surface loads. This study can serve as a reference
for stakeholders in designing slope reinforcement structures.
