Global Value Chain: Analisis Struktur Input Output, Lingkup Geografis, Dan Struktur Tata Kelolakopi Liberika Desa Kedabu Rapat Kabupaten Kepualuan Meranti
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the Global Value Chain (GVC) of Liberica coffee in Kedabu Rapat Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province, focusing on three main dimensions: input-output structure, geographical scope, and governance structure. Liberica coffee is a leading regional commodity with high export potential, yet it still faces challenges in supply chain efficiency and value distribution. This research employs a qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews (open-ended questions), field observations, literature review, and data analysis supported by NVivo 15 software. The findings indicate that the input-output structure remains traditional, dominated by manual processes and a lengthy distribution chain, resulting in low added value for farmers. The geographical scope of the coffee value chain includes international markets such as Malaysia and Singapore, but limited market access and technological constraints remain key obstacles. In terms of governance, the prevailing system is buyer-driven, where exporters and intermediaries hold dominant control over price and quality. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policy-making in developing the competitiveness of Liberica coffee commodities in the global market.
