Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Dan Kieserit Pada Medium Gambut Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jack) Di Pembibitan Utama

Palm tree as one of main export priority of non gas. Seeding of palm is still not intensive.
It is needed to enlarge the technique of seeding such as by using feat land. The purpose of the
research is to increase the growing of palm seed at Main Seeding. It is conducted at Research
Center of Riau Agriculture Faculty on May to September 2007. The research uses experiment
treatment by using random complete method with 2 stages. Every stage has 3 repetitions. At the
first stage, sheet chicken fertilizer is conducted by 3 ways. First, K0 = without sheet chicken
fertilizer . Second, KL = dosage 100 g/polybag (10 ton/ha) sheet chicken fertilizer. The second
factor is kieserite dosage, 13=dosage 19/polybag kieserite. The research parameter is about
length of seed (cm), sum of leaves, diameter of tree (cm), volume of root (ml), and dried netto of

volume of root (ml), and dried netto of tree. The research shows that every : 1/interaction with
sheet chicken fertilizer and kieserite give unreal effect in all parameters. 3/1 with kieserite gives
unreal effect to the parameter of palm seed to all medium of feat land. The main problem always
happens in using feat land is low acid (Ph). To increase the productivity of sheet chicken
fertilizer must be used.
