Azolla Sp have the high potency to be exploited by as organic manure. Exploiting of Azolla sp as manure in the form of fresh plant, run dry or compost will to the advantage of crop which conducting. fresh Exploiting Azolla can add the land;ground fertility of because earning memfiksasi of air nitrogen, despitefully also lessen the chemical manure usage ( Arifin, 1996).
This research is executed in Garden of Attempt of Faculty Of Agriculture of University Riau of during three months that is in strarting from April of up to June month;moon 2008. Research executed experimentally by using Complete Random Device ( RAL) consisted of by 6 treatment that is AO : 0 ton / ha compost Azolla ( Control the), Al : 4 ton / ha compost Azolla ( 0,8 singk / plot the), A2 : 6 ton / ha compost Azolla ( 1,2 singk / plot the), A3 : 8 ton / ha compost Azolla ( 1,6 singk / plot the), A4 : 10 ton / ha compost Azolla ( 2,0 singk / plot the), A5 : 12 ton / ha compost Azolla ( 2,4 singk / plot) and each treatment repeated by 3 times, so that there are 18 attempt unit. Parameter perceived by is high of crop, amount of leaf, wide of leaf, fresh heavy of crop of per fresh weight and plot of competent crop consume the. Data analysed statistically by using sidik manner is later;then continued with the test continue the DNMRT of at level 5%
Result of research indicate that the gift/ giving of compost Azolla improve the growth parameter that is high of crop, amount of leaf and wide of leaf. Besides, gift/ giving of compost Azolla also improve the parameter produce that is fresh weight per fresh weight and plot[of crop consume the. Parameter produce to mount at gift/ giving] of compost Azolla 10 ton / ha, 8 ton / ha and 6 ton / is ha compared to by without gift/ giving] of compost Azolla, its improvement is berturut?turut that is equal to 172%, 160% and 136%. From the research result visible that happened by the make-up of growth and produce to best crop kailan at gift/ giving] of compost Azolla 10 ton/ha.
