Uji Konsentrasi Bap Pada Media MS Untuk Pembentukan Planlet Dari Eksplan Pisang Barangan (Musa acuminanta L) Secara IN VITRO

Demand for commodities in the form of a banana processing in Riau
Province in 2000 reached 22.2 kg/capita/year, whereas in 2002 the demand for
bananas have increased a 26.8 kg/capita/year. Demand for banana is estimated to be
40% of goods from banana processing the request.
Bananas production in Riau Province in 2003 reached 51,625 tons, the
decline and increase production from year to year. Decrease produces drastic
happens in the year 2007 reached 2,113 tons. Production decrease was caused by the
decreasing area of planting banana, the low availability of seeds in terms of quantity
and quality, technique and low pest and disease control by the farmers.
Efforts are made to overcome these problems is by the provision of quality
seeds in the number of the many and free from disease, can be produced through
in vitro techniques. This study aimed to get the BAP that the concentration of media
in both the MS pallet expression to the establishment of a banana goods in vitro.
This research has been conducted in the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of
Agriculture, University of Riau, from May - August 2008.
Research is carried out using experiments Draft Shuffle Complete (RAL)
with 6 treatments. Treatment is given to various standard report that the
concentration of BAP, B0 = 0 ppm, B1 = 1,5 ppm, B 2 = 3,0 ppm, B3 = 4,5 ppm,
B 4 = 6,0 ppm, dan B5 = 7,5 ppm. Results of research indicate that the BAP by the
concentration of different planlet generate growth that is also different. Percentage
success planlet formation is very high, namely 100% with the level of contamination
ranges ± 30%. Treatment 0 ppm BAP is a good treatment for the establishment of
planlet goods in a banana in vitro.
