Pengaruh Pemberian Gula Pasir Dan Amonium Sulfat Pada Fermentasi Etanol Dari Ekstrak Kulit Buah Nanas (Ananas comusus L)
Waste of husk pineapple many there are in Riau Province and potential to be made raw material of ethanol fermentation. Ethanol fermentation influenced by concentration of sugar and nitrogen. To increase sugar concentration can be given by a refined sugar and to increase nitrogen concentration can be given by ammonium sulphate. The objectives of study is to know the effect of added of refined sugar and ammonium sulphate and interaction effect of refined sugar and ammonium sulphate at etanol fermentation from extract of husk pineapple. The study was conducted in the technological of agricultural produce laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture and biochemical laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Riau University in December 2007. There were 2 treatments, every treatment consisting of 2 level factor with 3 replications. Parameter observed were consume sugar, consume nitrogen, ethanol concentration and raise of cell concentration. Data obtained from this study were statistically analyzed by using Analysis of Variance and continued with Duncan New Multiple Range Test at 5%. The experimental result show that addition of refined sugar have significant effect to all parameter, addition of ammonium sulphate have significant effect to nitrogen consumption and raise of concentration of cell and interaction have not significant effect to all parameter.
