Kebijakan Safeguard Uni Eropa Terhadap Impor Tekstil Dan Produk Tekstil (TPT) Cina Pasca Penghapusan Agreement On Textiles And Clothing (ATC) Tahun 2005-2007

This research elaborates the EU trade policy in regards to the unfair in Chinese
import of textile and clothing post quota elimination ATC-WTO. The unfair causes
negative impact in economy, social condition and reductions the export import current of
EU textile with the Mediterranean countries.
This research adopts the normative theory from John Rawls and R. Nozick. The
tool analysis based on Article XIX GATT about safeguard measures. The level analysis of
the research is ‘nation-state group’. The research methode is qualitative research which
is descriptive and analytic. Data collection is done through library research.
This research shows that EU are taking safeguard measure to protect their
domestic textile industry. The EU and China have reached a bilateral negotiation which
imposes quota towards ten Chinese textile categories as said in the “Shanghai Textile
Agreement”.
