Intervensi Amerika Serikat Dalam Menyelesaikan Konflik Darfur (2003-2007)

This research explains The United State’s interventions in settling down the
Darfur conflict that has been taking place since 2003. In this case, United State gave
pressures to China to accepted the deployment of Hybrid peacekeepers on Darfur,
sponsored resolutions on Darfur conflict through United Nation and pressed China
to stopped arm trade with Sudan. The motivation of the United State’s interventions
are being the focus on this research.
This research uses power theory. Paul R. Viotty and Kauppi defined Power is
the actual or potensial influence or authority that can be used relatively to press
another country or another actor . Level analysis of this research is nation state and
the research method is descriptive of analysis with the the library research method.
The research shows the United State’s interventions in settling down the
Darfur conflict by giving pressures to China. Those interventions are representation
of United State’s efforts in balancing China’s influence in Sudan.
