Tingkat Pencemaran Logam Pb dan Zn Pada Perairan Selat Air Hitam Dengan Biomonitor Siput Cerithidea Obtusa

A study on the pollution level of Pb and Zn by using Cerithidea obtusa as a biomonitor were conducted from October to December 2014. Ten sampling points of two station were established along the straits Air Hitam, Meranti. It appeared that Pb and Zn contents in sea water and in sediment ranged 0,0919-0,0946 mg/L and 5,38-5,44 μg/g, respectively. Pb concentration in safe tissue Cerithidea revealed 6,66-6,83 μg/g while Zn appeared 33,6-34,7 μg/g. The statistical analysis showed that no different of Pb and Zn between station (p>0,05). Pb and Zn level in sediment were below ERL and ERM standard. Further, the pollution state of Pb and Zn categorized in low level, while Pb and Zn in Cerithidea were lower than that of POM standard. According to PTWI index, the Pb appeared 1,04 Kg/70Kg body mass/week, and 28,67 Kg/70 Kg/week for Zn.
