Air is a component of the environment is needed for human survival. Human energy required to carry out all activities, derived from the burning of food substances by using oxygen. The oxygen is obtained from ambient air via the airways, thus making the air by the body carried out continuously. Every day, the amount of air in and out of the respiratory tract of about 10 m3 per person. This means that the respiratory organs are exposed constantly by particles contained in the air, including the harmful particles that interfere with health.
Work environment by dust, steam, gas and other one hand disrupt productivity and damage the health of the other hand. This often leads to respiratory problems or may disrupt vital lung capacity. This research is to design explanasi reaseh is a research by pouring or align the effect between dependent and independent variables. This is consistent with the objective of this study was to identify the effect of ambient dust levels on lung function capacity and factors that influence it. The population in this study is all Stone Crusher factory workers with the number 35 in the PT JR and SR 39 PT.The results showed that there is influence of the density of dust on lung function for both JR and SR factory. Dust factor is a dominant factor influencing lung function, while the factor of exercise, smoking, and APD relatively small effects on pulmonary function impairment.
