Formulasi Amelioran Untuk Lahan Gambut Guna Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Dua Varietas Jagung (Zea Mays L)
MARLINA, NIM. 1310247135, The Formulation of Ameliorant for Peatlands to Boost the Growth and Production of Two Varieties of Maize (Zea mays L), supervised by Nelvia and Armaini.
The research is aimedat obtaining ameliorant formulation in order to increase the growth and production of corn as well as identifying the uptake of heavy metals by maize seed of Varieties Pertiwi-3 and NK-212 on peat soil. The research used the split plot design, in which the main plot was varieties (Varieties of Pertiwi-3 and NK-212), and a subplot was formulations of ameliorant consisting of 6 treatments, (60% OPEF + 20% GPB + 10% dregs + 10% fly ash, 60% OPEF+ 10% GPB+ 20% dregs + 10 % fly ash, 60% OPEF+ 10% GPB+ 10% dregs + 20% fly ash, 40% OPEF + 30% GPB+ 10% dregs + 20% fly ash, 40% OPEF+ 20% GPB + 30% dregs + 10% fly ash and 40% OPEF + 10% GPB + 20% dregs + 30% fly ash). Each combination treatment was repeated 3 times. Each parameter of the observed data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance, followed by HSD test level of 5%.
Results showed that all formulations of ameliorant tested showed very good growth and high yields for both corn varieties on peat soil, even with big and long cobs, with the number of 15 to16 straight rows of seeds in every cob line and close cob husk (± 98%) as well as the diversity of plants that uniform was the same as the description. The uptake of heavy metals lead (Pb), from 0.02 to 0.11 ug / g was very low, while cadmium (Cd) was not found in the seeds of two varieties of corn that applied the six formulations.
