Pemanfaatan Intranet Sebagai Media Komunikasi Internal Public Relations PT Pertamina (PERSERO) Refinery Unit (RU) IIDumai, Provinsi Riau

Intranet is a network that is built on Internet technology in which there are web applications and data communications technology. Intranet using LAN and based TCP / IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol) that enables a computer to send and receive data based on the address of each. Thus, the intranet is very suitable for use by the Public Relations (PR) PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai as the company's internal communications media. The purpose of this research is 1). To knowing process forwarding information of PR in exploiting intranet, 2). Knowing message in forwarding of information of PR in internal company, 3). Knowing employees respon in exploiting intranet as internal media in company.
This research use descriptive method qualitative with approach of Organizational Theory or Organizational Theory Information of Weick and Two Assymetrical Model way of Grunig. Technique data collecting use observation of nonpartisipan, circumstantial interview, and documentation. Informan selected with technique of purposive sampling that is by chosening informan owning readyness and ability in giving required information, and also it is true become fundamental duty in company and knowledge related to research, informan consist of Public Relations Section Head, Head Editor Data & Media of Publication Officer, employees of Information Technology departemen, assisten Data & Media Publication Officer and employees of Pertamina RU II Dumai.
From the results of this study, researchers concluded that: 1). PR exploiting of intranet by pervasion activity of PT Pertamina (Persero) RU II Dumai, pursuant from invitation, then inspection to news which have been made by Data assistant & Media of Publication, operator news upload and news come to employees computer. 2). There are two new menubars in intranet assisting employees activity, that is Idea Generation and of E-Correspondence 3). Employees Respon to intranet is good enough, because employees very enthusiastic in answering to every renewal exist in company intranet. in this time in intranet there Idea Generation sub of Web functioning accomodate all aspiration, ideas, comment etc but in this time still not yet there are communications two direction directly in menu. As well as E-Correspondence assisting in correspondence, but still limited to part of administration, related management and superior.
