Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Persepsi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Terhadap Usia Kawin Pertama (UKP) Di Kota Pekanbaru

Age limit marriage became a hot issue during the last two years. They considered that the Marriage Act of 1974 are no longer appropriate due to legalize marriage in childhood, 16 years old. In fact the practice of underage marriage is recommended that still rife in the city of Pekanbaru. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the location of the school, opinions about ideal age at first marriage determination according to gender, opinion about the ideal age at first marriage determination by ethnicity, attitudes about early marriage and attitudes about free sex to teen perceptions about age at first marriage. This type of observational study using cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in public and private high school in the city of Pekanbaru. The results showed that there was a strong influence and significant simultaneously between the location of the school (X1), the determination of age at first marriage ideal according to gender (X2), the determination of UKP ideal according to ethnicity (X3), attitudes about early marriage (X4) and attitudes about casual sex (X5) on the perception of age at first marriage (Y).
