Respons Beberapa Kultivar Kedelai (Glycine Max L. Merril) Terhadap Pemupukan Fosfor Di Lahan Gambut
This study was conducted to determine yield potential of soybean cultivars and the rates of phosphorus fertilizer appication in peatland. The field experiment was establiished in a factorial manner and arranged in a completely randomized block design with three replications. The first factor was five cultivars including Kaba, Kipas Putih, KM 14, KM 19, and KM-25. The rates of phosphorus fertilizer application were 0 kg P2O5, 25 kg P2O5, 50 kg P2O5 and 75 kg P2O5 per ha. Parameters observed were biomass at 28 and 35 days after planting, leaf area index, absolute growth rate, flowering date, harvesting date, number of filled pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, grain weight per m2, 100-seed weight and harvest index. Analyses of variance was performed to the data by using SAS version 9:12. The result indicated that all cultivars evauated had the same yield potential in peatland; however, KM – 19 responded better to 25 kg P2O5 per ha as indficated by earlier harvesting date, greater yield per m2 and bigger seed size compare to other cultivars. In general, fertilizer application of 25 kg P2O5 per ha affected better than control, 50, and 75 kg P2O5 / ha, which indicated that cultivars responded to P fertilization application with a low dose.
