Kebijakan Pemerintah Indonesia Terkait Pengoperasian Lembaga Pendidikan Asing Jalur Formal (Studi Kasus: Kota Pekanbaru)
This research describes the implementation of Indonesian Government policy about the operation of foreign educational institutions, especially the formal path in Pekanbaru City. In 2014 the Indonesian Government has issued a policy on cooperation between foreign educational institutions and educational institutions of Indonesia. Currently, many foreign schools are located in Indonesia, one of them in Pekanbaru city.
One of the main objectives of establishing a foreign school in Pekanbaru City is to provide educational services for children in Pekanbaru City. However, in operation and licensing, this school must meet the requirements in accordance with the policies of the Indonesian government. This study aims to determine whether the policy has been implemented well or not. This research uses constructivism perspective by using the theory of Public Policy and International Cooperation theory, and using Country-Nation as the level of analysis in the research process of this thesis.
The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Indonesian Government policies about the operation of foreign educational institutions, especially the formal path has not been implemented properly.
