Analisis Ekonomi Rumah Tangga Usaha Tani Tanaman Pinang Di Kabupaten Kampar

Research in Kampar regency which is one of the districts that produce pinang in Riau Province which has been going on since 1990s which is done simply and only utilize the existing yard area. The purpose of this research is to analyze the economic condition of pinang farmer family in Kampar regency. The type of data used in this study is primary data and secondary data, where the primary data is the result of direct observation on the object of research. The data obtained from the observation result are: income, production quantity, production cost, and amount of capital, direct interview with pinang farmer with questionnaire, and secondary data that is obtained from Plantation Office of Kampar Regency and related institution others. Based on the results of this research we can concluded that the total income obtained by areca nut farmers are the average of Rp.17.583.333,33 per year. And then the economic condition of areca nut farmers families in Kampar district are generally prosperous which for 52.94%of farmers families classified prosperous and then 47,06% of them are less prosperous..
