Strategi Pengembangan Industri Jasa Penyiaran Tv Kabel Lokal Di Kota Pekanbaru
At present, broadcasting services in the form of cable television are increasingly in demand by some people in Indonesia to obtain higher quality broadcast programs worldwide compared to free to air broadcast programs that are broadcast through National Private television stations and local television stations. Excellence in image quality, choice of channels that vary from domestic and foreign channels and wide area coverage to areas that are usually difficult to capture signals from television that are free to air make most people use cable television services. Local cable television still needs to be improved so that it can compete in a healthy manner in the broadcasting industry, because local cable television still lacks many aspects. So local cable television should require the right strategy to be developed so that the local cable television industry can compete. This study aims to analyze internal, external factors and to determine the strategies needed by the cable TV broadcasting service industry in the city of Pekanbaru. The data used are primary data obtained from interviews with business people and secondary data from Riau KPID. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach. To determine the development strategy needed by the author using the IE matrix and SWOT matrix. The results of the analysis of this study indicate that the cable TV broadcasting service industry is in area I, which is an aggressive strategy, namely by using the power to take advantage of existing opportunities.
