Hubungan Persepsi Masyarakat Tentang Pengobatan Tradisional Terhadap Tindakan Pemanfaatan Pengobatan Tradisional
About 80% of people in developed and developing countries and nearly 40% of Indonesians choose to use traditional medicine to maintain health and treat diseases. This study aims to determine the relationship between perceptions and actions of the community towards the use of traditional medicine in Tangkerang Selatan Village. The method that is used is descriptive correlation with the cross sectional approach. The research sample were 108 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using cluster and proposionate sampling. The measuring instrument used questionnaire. Analysis of the data using univariate to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate using the Chi-Square test. The results showed that of 57 respondents (52.8%) who had a positive perception of traditional medicine who took the action of using traditional medicine with a good category of 19 respondents (33.3%), enough categories were 33 respondents (57.9 %) and less categories, namely 5 respondents (8.8%). Whereas from 51 respondents (47.2%) who had negative perceptions of taking traditional medicine utilization in good categories, namely 2 respondents (3.9%), sufficient categories namely 4 respondents (7.8%) and less categories as many as 45 respondents (88.2%). The results of statistical tests obtained p value (0.000) < alpha (0.05), so that there was a significant relationship between perceptions and actions of the utilization of traditional medicine in the community in Tangkerang Selatan Village. Health promotion workers in health centers are expected to can provide information about traditional medicine and traditional health services available in the community and health centers to the community.
