Gambaran Tingkat Dan Dimensi Self Efficacy Menyusui Pada Ibu Menyusui Bayi 0-6 Bulan

The successful breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, especially psychological
factor of the mother. Feelings of worry, stress and depression in breastfeeding can make
mothers feel unsure of their ability to breastfeed their babies. Breastfeeding self efficacy is
a mother's confidence and trust in her ability to give breast milk to her baby. The aim of
this study is to determine the descriptions of breastfeeding self efficacy level in
breastfeeding mothers of infants 0-6 months. This research is a quantitative research using
descriptive research design with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study are 95
mothers breastfeed infants 0-6 months old taken by using purposive sampling technique.
The measuring instrument used is the breastfeeding self efficacy short form (BSE-SF)
questionnaire that has been translated into valid Indonesian. The results showed that the
level of breastfeeding self efficacy of mothers at low level is 40 respondents (42.1 %)
followed by moderate is 33 respondents (34.7 %) and high is 22 respondents (23.1 %). 51
respondents (53.7%) had a level of self efficacy from the aspect of technical dimensions at
a low level, while the respondent's self efficacy level on the dimension of intrapersonal
thoughts was at a high level of 52 respondents (54.8%). Breastfeeding self efficacy of
mothers needs to be improved by increasing the self efficacy of the technical dimension to
successful breastfeeding of infant 0-6 months can be achieved.
