Stigma Masyarakat Terhadap Orang Dengan Gangguan Jiwa (Odgj)
Stigma is a series of negative attitudes attached to a person's body. The society's stigma towards people with mental disorders that they do not have skills or ability to interact and can cause harm. People with mental disorders are disturbed in mental functions such as emotions, thoughts, behaviors and feelings that interfere with the process of living in the community.This study aims to determine the description of society’s stigma in Kelurahan Sidomulyo Barat. This study uses a quantitative descriptive design. There were 384 respondents who were sampled in this study. The sample was taken based on cluster sampling type of probability sampling technique. The research instrument used was questionnaire Community Attitudes toward The Mentally Ill (CAMI). Data analyzed used simple descriptive analysis with frequency distribution. The results show that 59.9% of the society have a pro attitude (agree) to the stigma of authoritarianism, 55.7% have a pro attitude towards the stigma of virtue, 58.9% are pro against the stigma of social restrictions, and 57% of the society have a pro attitude towards the ideology of the mental health community. The results of this study are expected to be information about the society’s stigma towards people with mental disorders, so that the stigma towards people with mental disorders can be reduced.
