ABSTRACT

Increasing population affect the mobility of transportation which has an impact on amount of vehicle but its not accompanied by the road capacity. This research is located on Jenderal Sudirman street, that has highest number of vehicle in Pekanbaru. This research intended to analyze the effect of vehicle amount and vehicle speed to CO emissions. The data collected directly at two (2) different points in Jendral Sudirman Street Pekanbaru, Point a is located in front of Sudirman Square dan point b is located in front of Ramayana Sudirman. The parameter analyzed is carbon monoxide (CO), by using amount of vehicle with traffic counting and Carbon Monoxide Analyzer. CO emissions and CO Consentration ambient air at point a greater than point b, each 321,79 Kg/jam and 218,19 Kg/jam and CO Consentration ambient air 19,90 PPM dan 10,57 PPM. The obtained data was tested using statistical analysis multiple linier regression with SPSS 23.00. The test showed vehicle amount has a significant impact compared to speed in terms of the produced carbon monoxide (CO) emissions with significant value
