Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Square Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas Vii1 Smp Negeri 3 Pekanbaru
The type of this research was a classroom action research that aims to improve the learning process and student mathematics learning results through the application of cooperative learning models with the type of think pair squre. The study was conducted at grade VII1 in SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru in the first semester of the 2019/2020 school year. The research subjects were 40 students consisting of 21 male students and 19 female students. The study was conducted in two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings and one daily test. The research instrument used was a learning tools and data collection instrument. Learning tools consist of Syllabus, Learning Plan (RPP), Student Activity Sheet (LAS) and daily test questions while for data collection instruments consist of observation sheets and learning achievement tests. Based on the analysis of teacher and student activity data, it was known that there was an improvement in the learning process after applying the think pair squre cooperative learning model. Data that was obtained from the student mathematics learning achievement test showed that the number of students in knowledge competencies that did not reach the KKM or Minimal completeness criteria was decreased from the base score (28 people) to the UH I score (14 students) and to the UH II score (9 students). In addition, there was also an increase in students who achieved the KKM knowledge from the base score (12 students) to the UH I score (26 students) and to the UH II score (31 students). Meanwhile in the skills competency, there was a decrease in the frequency of students who did not achieve KKM from the UH I score (12 students) and to the UH II score (3 students) and an increase in students who achieved the KKM skill UH I score (28 students) and to the UH II score (37 students). The results of this study indicate that the application of think pair square cooperative learning models can improve the learning process and mathematics learning results for students at grade VII1 in SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Think Pair Square Type Cooperative Learning
