The background of this study is the low ability of children in speech ability, some children are still underdeveloped mentioning the words that are known, some children have not developed repeat simple sentences, some children have not developed answering questions.
Therefore, efforts should be able to improve the ability to speak children through playing the role. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of children's speaking ability through role playing method and to know the high increase that happened. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in 2 (two) cycles. The data collection tool used in this research is in the form of observation sheet and the research subject is Group A consisting of 6 boys and 4 girls.
The results showed an increase from cycle I to cycle II. Increasing that happened from before action to cycle I equal to 43,33%, cycle I to cycle II equal to 42,78%, and increase from before cycle I to cycle II equal to 97,83%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that through role play can improve children's speaking ability In PAUD Flamboyan Subdistrict Rimba Melintang Rokan Hilir Regency.
