This study aims to 1) find out the activities of oil palm farming over the
age of 25 years in Sialang Palas Village, Siak Regency, 2) Analyze the
comparative productivity and income of oil palm farming using organic fertilizer
and not using organic fertilizer in Sialang Palas Village. This research was carried
out in Sialang Palas Village. The method used in data collection of this research is
the survey method and the sampling technique used is simple random sampling.
The data analysis used was quantitative descriptive analysis with farm analysis
approach. The results showed that oil palm farming activities in Sialang Palas
Village differed in terms of production factors, namely fertilization. The
production of FFB in farming with a combination of organic and chemical
fertilizers is 18.578 kg/2ha/year and FFB production in farming without organic
fertilizer is 17.019 kg/2ha/year. Net income received on farming with a
combination of organic and chemical fertilizers is Rp.33.782.502,59 /2ha/year and
net income of farming without organic fertilizer is Rp.28.204.188,47 /2ha/year.
Statistical tests showed the income and productivity of oil palm farming that using
organic fertilizer and not using organic fertilizer is significant.
