Pemetaan Tempat Penampungan Sementara (Tps) Ilegal Menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (Sig) Di Kota Bangkinang

ABSTRACT
Bangkinang City is the capital of Kampar Regency which consists of urban areas,
Bangkinang City and Bangkinang Districts. It has an area of 224.65 Km2 and the
population of the two districts is 77,339 inhabitants. The population continues to
grow, but waste management facilities such as Temporary Shelter (TPS) provided
by the government are not evenly distributed and have not fully served the
community in the City of Bangkinang, resulting in the emergence of illegal TPS.
The purpose of this study is to map the distribution of illegal Temporary Shelter
(TPS), calculate the volume of illegal TPS and analyze geophysical,
anthropogenic factors and the availability of legal TPS. This research was
conducted by field census at the study location to find out the existence of illegal
TPS, then the coordinates of the illegal TPS were taken using the Global
Positioning System (GPS), then plotting coordinates using the Geographic
Information System (GIS) software 10.3. The results were found as many as 19
illegal TPS Points in the study area. The effect of the distance from the river, was
not found TPS located at a distance of less than 15 m from the river bank. In the
type of road found 3 illegal TPS points on arterial roads, 6 points on collector
roads and 10 points on local roads. In this type of land found 13 points on the
shoulder of the road and 6 points on vacant land. Based on the population density
histogram in the study location population density affects the number of illegal
TPS found. At the education level, the number of Illegal TPS increases with the
increasing number of respondents with elementary, junior high and high school
education. In the type of work, the number of illegal TPS increased with the
increase in the number of respondents in the type of work of traders,
entrepreneurs and households.
