Analisis Perbandingan Efisiensi Produksi Padi Sawah Sistem Tanam Jajar Legowo Dan Sistem Tanam Konvensional Di Kabupaten Kampar
Food in Indonesia is dominated by rice originating from the rice plant. In 2019, Indonesia still imported rice with a total of 444,509.8 tons (BPS, 2020). Rice imports in 2019 have decreased compared to 2018, this means that domestic rice production has begun to increase. The increase in domestic rice production is in line with the increase in GDP in 2020. The rate and source of GDP in Indonesia according to business fields that have experienced positive growth, one of which is the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector by 0.27% (BPS, 2020)
Fulfilling domestic rice needs requires government support for agriculture. Deep support is given to domestic rice farmerws in the farm of strategies, policies and program to increase domestic rice productivity. One of the program provided fot paddy fields is the arragement of cropping patterns.
This study was aimed to analyze technically the cultivation of paddy jajar legowo planting systems and conventional planting systems, analyze of farming, look for production efficiency and compare the efficiency of the production of jajar legowo planting systems and conventional planting system. This study was conducted by survey method and the determination of the sample was carried out by multistage sampling with 72 respondentsof lowland rice farmers in Kampar District using analytical tools namely farm analysis, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) and independent samples t test analysis.
The result of the study showed that technical analysis of lowland paddy on the application of conventional planting systems by 78% and jajar legowo planting system by 75%, farming analysis the paddy of jajar legowo planting system has RCR of 1,60 and a conventional planting system of 1,31. Jajar legowo planting system was more profitable than conventional planting system. Comparison of production efficiency between paddy of jaar legowo planting system and conventional planting system weren’t significant differences in technical efficiency, allocative efficiency and economic efficiency.
