Analisis Daya Saing Kelapa Sawit Di Kabupaten Pelalawan

This study aims to see the competitiveness of oil palm farming in the Pelalawan Regency area in February 2020. This area was chosen deliberately with the consideration that this area has a large population of oil palm farmers, and quite potential to develop oil palm.
Palm oil is one of the most superior and important commodities for Pelalawan Regency. In Pelalawan Regency, palm oil is a commodity which is one of the superior regional commodities. Palm oil is also a producer of palm oils (CPO – Crude Palm Oil) and the core of palm oil (Palm – Keruel) which is one source of non – oil and foreign exchange producer for Indonesia. In 2019, the total area of oil palm in Riau Province is estimated to be 2.28 million hectares. Riau Province is the province with the highest average CPO production in Indonesia, it is amounting to 8.540.182 tons or 21.47%.
The results of the analysis using the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) method snowed that oil palm farming in Pelalawan Regency has a high competitiveness, (competitive advantage and comparative advantage) it is known by the value of small PCR and DRC from (one) of 0,26 and 0,30.
