Analisis Sistem Pemasaran Dan Pengembangan Strategi Pemasaran Beras Lokal Riau (Studi Kasus Pt Sarana Pangan Madani)
This research aims to analyze the local rice marketing system of Riau and marketing strategies at PT Sarana Pangan Madani.
Rice issues in Indonesia include the availability and equitable distribution of rice and affordability of purchasing power by the community. Riau rice production in 2019 as much as 147,090 tons while consumption of 623,274 tons thus Riau has the ability to meet the needs of population consumption of 23.6%. The fulfillment of riau rice consumption needs is mostly fulfilled from the supply outside Riau Province, namely the province of West Sumatra and North Sumatra. In this research, PT Sarana Pangan Madani is a rice distribution business in Riau, the main rice commodity circulated is local Riau rice. PT Sarana Pangan Madani has 3 cooperations in terms of providing rice, namely with Gapoktan Bina Karya in Siak, collector traders in Pelalawan and Gapoktan Paduka in Rokan Hulu.
The results of marketing margin analysis and marketing efficiency showed that the most efficient marketing channel at PT Sarana Pangan Madani is a collaboration with Gapoktan Bina Karya in Siak Regency, then collector traders in Pelalawan Regency and Gapoktan Paduka in Rokan Hulu Regency. Based on SWOT analysis of local rice marketing mix at PT Sarana Pangan Madani can be formulated marketing strategy and development of local rice products by PT Sarana Pangan Madani is as follows; recognizing the target market, improving production facilities and infrastructure, expanding the network of business partners and improving operational and marketing management activities.
