Analisis Daya Saing Dan Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Ekspor Nenas Indonesia

ABSTRACT
Pineapple is one of the leading commodities of Indonesian horticultural subsector
that has been known all over the world and has the potential to be used as a
mainstay export commodity. This research aims to analyze the competitiveness
and factors that affect Indonesian pineapple exports in the international market.
The data used is secondary data in the form of monthly export data during the
period January 2013 to December 2018. The analytical methods used are
quantitative methods, namely estimation of competitiveness and factors that affect
Indonesian pineapple exports in several destination countries using Export
Product Dynamic (EPD), multiple linear regression analysis, and classic
assumption deviation tests. Indonesian pineapple export destinations are: Bahrain,
Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, and United Arab Emirates. Based on the
estimated results of the Export Product Dynamic (EPD) index shows that the
market position of Indonesian pineapple export destination has strong
competitiveness and occupies a “Rising Star” position with Bahrain's average
growth of 0.02% and 0.004%; Kuwait by 0.08% and 0.002%; and Qatar by 0.08%
and 0.01% so that it can continue to maintain its marketing. Then occupying the
position of “Retreat” then not potential exports due to the decrease in the share of
exports and declining export demand namely with Japan's average growth of -
1.99% and -0.03%; and Singapore by -0.21% and -0.02% compared to
competitive countries, namely Thailand and the Philippines and based on multiple
linear regression estimates shows that Indonesian pineapple price to US$ has a
significant impact on the competitiveness of Indonesian pineapple exports, while
Indonesian pineapple productivity and Indonesian pineapple export prices have no
significant effect on the competitiveness of Indonesian pineapple exports.
