Respon Beberapa Varietas Padi (Oryza Sativa L.) Pada Berbagai Tinggi Muka Air Tanah Lahan Pasang Surut Di Desa Muara Kelantan Kecamatan Sungai Mandau Kabupaten Siak
The role of tidal land use in Riau Province is increasingly important, given the
large potential for tidal land. The tidal soil water level greatly determines the
response of rice varieties, and in fact each rice variety is different in responding to
water availability. The purpose of this study was to determine the response to
growth and production of several rice varieties (Oryza sativa L.) at various tidal
groundwater levels. This research was conducted in the village of Muara
Kelantan, Sungai Mandau District, Siak Regency, from October 2017 to February
2018. The study used a split plot design with two factors, namely the water level
as the main plot and tidal rice varieties as subplots. The ground water level given
is -5 cm, -10 cm, -15 cm. The varieties used were Mendol Pelalawan, Bono
Pelalawan and Inpara 3. The parameters observed were plant height, maximum
number of tillers, number of productive tillers, length of panicles, harvest age,
weight of harvested dry grain (DGW) per m2, percentage of chewiness, weight of
1000 grains. grain, and weight of milled dry grain (WDG) per sample and per m2.
The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA and HSD level of 5%. The
results showed that the response of the Bono Pelalawan variety to the treatment of
ground water table height of -10 cm showed the heaviest dry grain weight per
sample and 1000 heaviest grain weight, the heaviest milled dry grain yield per m2.
If converted per ha (85% land use), the yield is 8.81 tonnes.ha-1 of milled dry
grain.
