Gambaran Kejadian Batu Ginjal Pada Anak Di Rsud Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Periode Januari 2013 – November 2019
Urinary stones are one of the most frequent phenomena in urology. One of urinary
stones is kidney stones. These stones are generally found in the pelvis of the kidney. In
children, kidney stones can occur. This study aims to describe the incidence of kidney stones
in children at Arifin Achmad General Hospital, Riau Province for the period January 2013 -
November 2019. This research method is a descriptive retrospective, using the medical
records of pediatric patients diagnosed with kidney stones at Arifin Achmad General
Hospital, Riau Province for the period of January 2013. - November 2019. The results
showed the number of pediatric patients with kidney stones was 16 (44.4%) with an average
age group of 15.06 - 18 years. Most of the sex was male (62.5%), the most common main
complaint was low back pain (68.8%), some patients found urine crystals on urinalysis
(93.8%), and most patients still had normal kidney function (68.8%). The most radiological
examinations were KUB -IVP (43.8%) with the most stone sizes >20 mm (62.5%) and the
main treatment for patients was Nephrolithotomy (43.8%).
