Analisis Pola Dan Perilaku Konsumsi Pangan Padi-Padian Dan Umbi-Umbian Rumah Tangga Di Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the pattern, dominant factors, and expenditure response consumption of grains and tubers. This research used the data Socio-Economics Survey of 2018 from Statistics of Riau Province. To answer this research, the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) model and the Seemingly Unreleated Regression (SUR) method were used. The result showed higher the income the share of expenditure of rice, wheat flour, and cassava decreased. Higher the household members the share of expenditure of rice, and other tubers increased. Higher the housewives education share of expenditure of rice, cassava, and sweet potato decreased. The share of expenditure on grains and tubers in urban areas was lowed than in rural areas. Factors income influenced rice, wheat flour, cassava, sweet potato, and potato. Household members influenced rice, wheat flour, cassava, and potato. Middle educated housewives influenced wheat flour, and other grains. Highly educated housewives influenced wheat flour, sweet potato, and potato. Urban areas influenced rice, wheat flour, other grains, cassava, and other tubers. The result elasticity commodity rice wasn’t responsive to prices commodity itself and income, however responsive to sweet potato prices. Wheat flour, other grains, cassava, sweet potato, potato, and other tubers wasn’t responsive to prices commodity itself and other commodity prices, however responsive to income. The policy implication that can be carried out for diversification of local food is to increase the price of rice, so that households increase non rice consumption, especially tuber commodities.
