ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the characteristics of rubber farmers and extension workers in XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency and to identify the level of media literacy skills of rubber farmers and extension workers in XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency and analyze the relationship between rubber farmers' media literacy levels and media effectiveness in XIII Koto Kampar District. Koto Kampar, Kampar Regency. The population collection in this study was carried out by purposive sampling, namely in Tanjung Alai Village and Pulau Gadang Village, XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency. Meanwhile, the sample determination was carried out by looking at the farmer groups with the largest number of members. The data analysis used was descriptive data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the literacy level of rubber farmers in XIII Koto Kampar District, especially in Tanjung Alai Village and Pulau Gadang Village is at the basic level, while for extension workers literacy is at the advanced level. And to research the effectiveness of the extension media in XIII Koto Kampar District, between the two media, namely extension media in the form of printed brochures and physical object media, physical object media were effectively used when extension workers in XIII Koto Kampar District, especially in Tanjung Alai Village and Gadang Island. As well as for the relationship between the level of media literacy and the level of effectiveness of printed media and physical objects in XIII Koto Kampar District, Kampar Regency has a positive relationship and the correlation category is moderate.
