Pengaruh Perpustakaan Digital Dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi Terhadap Minat Baca Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu Kabupaten Kampar
The purpose of this research is to know the effect of digital libraries and the use of
information technology on the reading interest of students at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu.
This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency. The
number of population was 936 people, and and samples were 90 respondents by first
conducting instruments try out towards 30 respondents. The data analysis was done by
descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. This research was conducted to determine
the effect of the Digital Library and the Utilization of Information Technology on
Students' Reading Interest. The validity of the test items using the product moment and
the instrument reliability coefficients were calculated using the Cronbach Alpha
formula. The conclusion of the research results are; (1) There is positive effect between
Digital Libraries towards Students' Reading Interest. The coefficient of determination
(r2) = 0.483 or 48.3% and the regression equation Y=78.547 + 0.197X1 with fairly
strong categorical correlation. (2) There is positive effect between the utilization of
information technology towards students' reading interest. The coefficient of
determination (r2) = 0.284 or 28.4% and the regression equation =81.620 + 0.153X2
with a low category correlation. (3) There is positive effect between Digital Libraries
and the utilization of information Technology towards Students' Reading Interest. The
coefficient of determination (r2) = 0.609 or 60.9% means that the effect magnitude of
Digital Libraries and Information Technology Utilization towards Students' Reading
Interest is 60.9%. Regression equation Ŷ=76,445+ 0,234X1+0,189X2 with strong
category correlation. The results showed that the Digital Library and the Utilization of
Information Technology have positive effect towards students' reading interest either
simultaneously or partially.
