ABSTRACT
The main purpose of the design of electric lawn mowers using universal motors is
to design lawn mowers using battery power that are environmentally friendly, save
fuel for the main energy source of lawn mowers and reduce noise from lawn mowers
. The conclusions obtained are: (1) The motor used to rotate the lawn mower is a
universal 100 watt motor and the battery used is 12 volt 10 ah. (2) The size of the
current and voltage is influenced by the resistance of the conductor. The smaller the
resistance the greater the current flowing and vice versa. (3) The rotation of the lawn
mower when it has no load is 6051 rpm, and when it has a load of 5530 rpm. (4)
The presence of a load causes the battery life to be smaller.
