Pengembangan Soal Hots (Higher Order Thinking Skills) Pada Materi Asam Basa Untuk Kelas XI SMA/MA Sederajat
In the era of globalization and the demands of the Asean Economic Community (MEA) requires quality human resources. According to the 2019 PISA survey, Indonesia is ranked 72 out of 77 countries and the 2013 curriculum requires students to work on high-level thinking chemistry questions. Based on the results of interviews with chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru, MAN 1 Pekanbaru, and SMAN 14 Pekanbaru, information was obtained that in the preparation of HOTS questions there was a problem, namely the lack of teacher skills. Analysis of the test instrument obtained information that the acid-base test questions were still at the C1-C3 cognitive level. The purpose of this study was to produce HOTS questions for acid-base materials, determine the characteristics of the HOTS test measuring instruments, namely reliable and discriminating power, and determine user responses. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The development model in this study is a plomp. The product development procedure goes through four stages, namely initial investigation, design, construction/relation, and validation, testing, and revision. The results showed that the validation results were very valid (90.7%) based on the material, construction, HOTS, and language aspects. The user trial assessment consisted of 3 chemistry teachers, 3 new chemistry education students (akt.2021), and 30 class XII students. The teacher's response strongly agrees and the one-on-one test is very good. The reliability per item is very high and the items are acceptable.
